This jersey comes to us from the personal collection of a prominent European-based international hockey
official.
The jersey is a Nike pro-weight jersey with sewn-on numbers and name. It is identical to the jerseys worn by
the Russian team at the 1997 World Championships in Finland.
This special jersey was used by the IIHF to honor Vsevolod Bobrov, legendary Soviet player and coach, when
he was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997
Aside from the magnificent blue game-worn Bobrov Soviet national team jersey on display at the Hockey Hall of
Fame in Toronto, there are few (if any) other Bobrov jerseys known to exist. This is probably the closest that
private collectors will ever come to owning a jersey from the first Soviet star.
