World Hockey Jerseys Mission Statement
Hockey is the coolest game on earth, but it can be a very expensive sport.
The national teams of many countries have very small budgets and receive relatively little funding from their
respective governments, In other countries, the national teams may be well-funded, but there is relatively
little money to support local or grass-roots hockey.
In many parts of the world, sports such as football (soccer) attract significantly more players than hockey,
partially because many families cannot afford to have their children participate in hockey. As a result, it is
often difficult for hockey to attract the best athletes.
It is our hope that World Hockey Jerseys can play a small part in promoting the growth of hockey throughout
the world, in accordance with our mission statement:
"World Hockey Jerseys is committed to assisting members of the IIHF in funding their national teams
and the development of hockey in their respective countries by making their game-worn jerseys
available to fans and collectors throughout the world."
We believe that this enterprise is mutually beneficial to everyone involved. Fans and collectors have an
opportunity to buy rare and unique jerseys at reasonable prices and the national federations receive revenue
that can be used to fund the sport of hockey in their respective countries.
