This jersey is from the personal collection of a prominent European-based international hockey official.
Made by Nike, this pro-weight jersey (with fight strap) was worn by forward Andrei Kovalev during the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. The 2002 Olympics was the first time that Belarus wore jerseys with "Belarus" on the front in Cyrillic characters.
The jersey is a size 56 and includes the Nike bar code on the inside back hem. It displays very, very light wear.
The Belarus crest and Belarus Ice Hockey Federation logo are sewn on to the front of the jersey. The IIHF patch is sewn on to the back hem. The numbers are sewn on to the back of the jersey and both sleeves. The player's name is sewn on to a nameplate, which is sewn on to the jersey itself.
